PHOTO & VIDEO POLICY

At Kingdom Life Church (“KLC”), we value the way photos, videos, and other media help our faith community grow and flourish. Photos and videos tell our story, provide visitors information and an idea of what to expect when they attend our worship services and events, highlight the work of those who serve, and allow us to communicate our mission as a church for people who don’t go to church via our website and other digital and print media.

Accordingly, photography, videography, live streaming, and other recording may be in progress at Kingdom Life’s Sunday services, ministry activities, classes, programs and other events. KLC may use the media recorded at these events in materials produced by or for the church, including but not limited to our bulletins, posters, brochures, newsletters and other printed and electronic materials, digital media (e.g., KLC’s website, our online community (CCB), Facebook, and other social media sites).

By participating in KLC services, ministry activities, classes, programs and events: (i) you consent to be photographed, videotaped or otherwise recorded; (ii) you grant your permission for KLC to use recordings containing your image, likeness, voice or statements, without compensation, credit or other consideration to you, for KLC’s promotional, publicity and other purposes, throughout the world and in perpetuity; and (iii) you agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify KLC from any and all liabilities and claims involving the use of your image, likeness, voice or statements.
While we reserve the right to photograph and record church events, we strive to ensure that photography and videography are used in safe and positive ways. We will not knowingly and intentionally post any photo, video, or other recording that would be embarrassing, objectionable, or hurtful to any clearly, personally identifiable individual in the recording.

To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personally identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent, or legal guardian.

Opting-out:  Parents/guardians who do not wish their child’s photo or video to be potentially posted online or otherwise displayed, regardless of the context, should send a written note or email to the church office, and Kingdom Life Church will make every effort to exclude the indicated minor from any individual or small group photography/videography.  Please note that children may still be included in general group or crowd photos without identifying information; however, you may always request that any photo be removed from display.

Additionally, any individual who appears in a photo/video (or whose minor children appear in a photo /video) that has been posted online may request that it be removed for any reason, even if prior permission had been granted, by sending a written note to the KLC office at 1301. W. 100th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99515, or email to: info@klcak.org.  Please indicate the person or persons involved and the photo or video in question, and it will be promptly removed from the website or other display where it is found.

Please note we cannot remove your image from video or live stream messages. Please understand that KLC has no control over the recording, use and posting of images or other media by non-church staff (e.g., by community members, news outlets) and no ability to remove such media from publications, including internet or social media sites, that are not run by KLC.
Kingdom Life Church may change the content of this policy without notice, and it is recommended to review this and other church policies periodically.  Current copies of this policy may be obtained at the church office or online at Https://kingdomlifealaska.org/policies.
